Our Story

Built on experience. Driven by a love for upholstery.

I’m Josh, the upholsterer behind Revive Studio Upholstery.

Upholstery has been a huge part of my working life. I started in the trade at just 17 years old, learning traditional upholstery skills and developing an understanding of how furniture should be properly built, repaired and finished.

Over the years, I’ve worked for a number of upholstery companies and gained experience across a huge variety of furniture, materials and styles. From individual chairs and cushions to sofas, bespoke pieces and larger commercial projects, I’ve always enjoyed the challenge of taking something tired, damaged or dated and giving it a completely new lease of life.

Eventually, I wanted to build something of my own.

That’s where Revive Studio Upholstery began.

Today, I take on both domestic and commercial upholstery, including chairs, sofas, footstools, cushions, booth and banquette seating, restaurant seating, gym equipment and bespoke projects. I’m comfortable working with everything from traditional fabrics to faux leather and other hard-wearing commercial materials.

I’ve completed work for homes, restaurants, gyms and other businesses across Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and surrounding areas, and I’m always happy to take on something a little different.

The Revive approach

For me, Revive Studio isn’t about rushing furniture through the door.

Every project gets my personal attention from the initial conversation through to the finished piece. I take pride in the details — whether that's carefully matching a patterned fabric, rebuilding worn padding, creating new cushions or completely transforming a piece of furniture.

I genuinely love what I do, and my aim is simple:

Quality workmanship, a personal service, fair pricing and furniture made to be enjoyed again.
